Lots to update with:

Firstly at the beginning of the month was R&Ms wedding! It was in Holland, which was covered in about 20cm of snow at the time. I went out on the Wednesday (wedding on the Friday) having battled my way through snowy Dublin roads (not 20cm but still enough to grind the place to a near halt). My plane was anouned as 3 hours late at one point but ended up being only an hour. I was dead lucky as Schiphol shut down soon after! Some of the rellies spent over 12 hours getting there (some via Brussels, some via the channel tunnel), some sadly failed to get there. The wedding was lovely, with amazing snowy scenery. R was picked up by M, then off for photos as we finished off the champagne. In Holland you have a civil ceremony regardless of if you have a religious one too or not. The civil ceremony was carried out by a woman in her 50s, in robes etc. Half way thought she performed a rap (sadly in Dutch, but she tried to explain in English), then near the end got out a guitar and sang a song! Brilliant! Then the church service, which was lovely. The whole day was conducted "Eurovision style" in Dutch and English, with someone translating into the other language from whatever the speaker was using. For the vows M did his in Dutch and R hers in English which was nice.

Then there was Paddys Day. The Bray band played in both Greystones and Bray parades. The Greystones one was great - the band was up on a large lorry trailer and could see the whole parade. The Bray one was badly organised and a waste of time. We ended up playing on the Dart station so no one could hear over the town PA.

Then finally for now the Easter weekend. M&S popped in for a couple of nights on their way to Ms parents. We had a really lovely day on Friday- went to Glendalough (where the weather wasn't as nice as Dun Laoghaire) for a walk, then back via Powerscourt for tea and cake. In the evening we played Cranium... It was great to catch up with M&S and to know that you don't have to see friends that often to still get on well. They brought us an amazing present too! 3 "oggs" - link please M?!

Right, England are about to stuff Azerbaijan (sp?) so I'm off to watch. Have been watching my "Taking LeTiss" DVD which is brilliant, if a little scary to see how long ago it was I used to go to the Dell anything like regularly.

Just seen my 3rd ever badger on the N11. Still never seen a live one. Actually, that's not entirely true, the one I hit was live moments before I hit it and I did see it just before impact.

The Bray Concert Band has just had the last rehearsal before St Patricks Day. It's sounding very good although outside gigs can be weird and sound strange on the day. I sounded rubbish for the first half of the rehearsal as it took me that long to warm up and be able to play it. Was sounding like a hamster had got stuck inside the trombone. Maybe I should clean it before Thursday... 2nd half was spot on though!

It's Ss 30th this year so it's my turn to do something impressive. Given the trip I had it had better be damn impressive! I have decided where and booked the flights. Just got to work out which over priced hotel now.

I was hoping (and had planned) for tomorrow off work as I was meant to be doing an over night shift tonight. After hassling and asking if it was _really_ 100% sorted and going ahead several times I wasn't surprised when they stuffed it up at the last minute. Normal nights sleep, pants day in the office tomorrow. Oh well.

Work started off with a big meeting organised by my bos's bos's new boss. It was likely to be tedious but started off with a plate of bacon, plate of sausages, rolls, sauces and some muffins. DIY bacon rolls! I was well impressed. Dont care what the subject matter is, I'll turn up to any meetings like that!

Not been feeling great this last couple of days. Think the flu jab must be wearing off. Having just gone straight to a youth group planning meeting from work then on to band, I am feeling quite crap now. So perhaps it's bed time. The band are playing in two St Patrick's day events next thurs, one in Greystones, one in Bray. Should be a laugh as I've not seen a real Paddy's Day parade before! Only been in the sticks of Wexford before for Paddy's day where any day is quietly much like any other.
