Managed to escape work at 2:30. Went home and managed a couple of ours sleep until S came back from work. Think I am just about prepared for next weeks trip to Newbury. I know where I'm going, when I'm going and just about who I have to drive when I get there. Now all that remains is if I'll be any use to what's going on when I get there.

Been in the office since 05:45... The one good thing about that was the nice fry up at about 7:30. Although I didn't have room for my boss's boss's pastries breakfast which we have on a friday morning. Still, the coffee is helping.

Something is going live that they wanted us to baby sit in case it went wrong. It seems to all be fine so I've got up early (before the central heating came on and it was COLD in the house!) to sit here and read sky news on my phone... all in the name of testing.

Looks like everything is set for my trip to Berkshire next week. Just hope the directions of where I am staying and working arrive before I leave here after lunch. Or I guess I'll be staying in Winchester.

Today was the press launch of 3G, which meant beer, loud music, dancing and a talk from the CEO. Except some @rse decided to organise a meeting at the time that was going on. Given it started late (Irish time) I managed to get a beer and take it along.

Wigley has apparently admitted he doesn't think he has long left at Saints. Well done. He hasn't quite gone all the way and resigned. Dublin's Newtalk106 had an interview with someone from the Saints fanzene the Ugly Inside who reckons that there will be no resistance to Hoddle coming back now. The bloke was dead right in that we need a leader. Hoddle may be many things but he can lead. I think we'll scrape a draw with the skates and still sack Wigley and have Hoddle by the end of next week. At least something needs to be done by the end of the month or it's too late.

Oh yes, forgot to say, for anyone mailing the feedback address, if you want me to read it within a day, mail me at work or normal home address.

All are encourraged to leave feedback!

Well Saints are away to Watford in the CocaCola-Carling-Worthington-Milk-cant-remember-what-it's-called-league cup and I am actually wondering what result I want. If Saints lose, and lose badly then maybe, just maybe Rupert Lowe will have to do something about the abismal mess the club is in. If they win but scrape it, nothing will be done.

However listening to it as I type it's worse than I was expecting! Saints are losing 5-2 and it's just about all over. We play the Skates at home on Sat and will most likely lose it. Other than the loss of St Marys after the fans burn it down, something will have to be done then. I dont see it happening before then, but a loss to Portsmuff would maybe get the fans so depressed they would accept Hoddle.

It ends 5-2.

Perhaps Wiggley will resign - if he wants to come out of this with any credit he should do just that as he clearly is not able to do the job. Dont care why, the play is dire. The rumours are the players didn't like Sturrock but did Wiggley, yet they put no effort in and are pants. So get someone who will make them play or get rid of them. Its the same lot that played well for Strachan.

At this moment, I'd accept anyone who'd avoid relegation, Hoddle included. Cause if things stay as they are for much longer (by the end of the month) it'll be too late.

So the end of another weekend, which seems to have gone too quickly. Spent lots of yesterday round at Ks house planning the up coming youth group weekend away. Takes longer than I thought to plan a weekend, but then again it would be a nightmare if they got bored and were allowed to run riot! Saw A Sharks Tale in the evening at the Dun Laoghaire IMG cinema, which was good. It was nothing like as good as Shrek or Finding Nemo, but was still enjoyable. Although I'm very glad that you don't have teenagers sitting behind you talking throughout the film in our home cinema!

Given that it was SOS (Youth Group) this evening we had a nice long lie in this morning. That and cooking a roast chicken was about it for the day.

It was F*&kup Friday today. Why do things pick a Friday afternoon to go horribly wrong? Now a boring Monday while there's nothing better to do but fix problems would be fine, but no. Anyway got most things sorted before I left for the weekend and handed some over my colleague who's on call.

Watched Monsters Inc on our projector this ev - superb film!

Band last night - I skipped a work Thi meal as I thought I should go to band what with there only being 4 weeks until our next concert and it's just as well I went. New pieces, some hard! I couldn't play one of them! The pieces for the last concert were just about playable, at least bluffable in the small parts that needed it...
