Well that’s the Irish summer over

A nice quiet weekend. Had a welcome lie in on Saturday then picked up Ss mum from the air coach and drove down to Wexford, where we had a very pleasant Italian meal together. On sunday we attempted a picnic in the Wicklow hills but the Irish weather was having none of it. After finishing off lunch in the car and waiting a while for it to clear up so we could have our walk, we gave up and drove home. S and I did at least manage a walk to the pub and back in the evening...

Well here it is at last. After a long time of people telling me to start a blog and giving up long ago as I'd never been arsed, I've finally bothered!

After reading others blogs for a long time it seems easy enough to post thoughts etc from time to time. However sitting with the laptop on my lap I'm finding it hard to actually start.

I'm banking on the fact that anyone reading this knows who I am so I have not bothered with a profile etc.

I think that will do for post one. Lets see if I actually manage to post once in a while...
