The concert on Saturday night held in aid of our Uganda trip (I should point out that the funds raised are going to be put to use in Uganda, not to pay for us to get there!) went very well. It was held in Wesley College and was by and large organised by twin lads who are on the Uganda team, who also play in the Bray band and go to Wesley. They did a brilliant job and we raised a nice pile of cash (just short of 3k). There was a blues band who did a set and I was convinced one of them said the F word, which in front of an audience which a large part came from church would have been interesting. Luckily I was hearing things as most of the old dears loved it!

Other thing I did on sat was have another golf lesson. Having played so badly with D&D recently, they decided to club together and buy me a couple of lessons. I've been to the Pro at Old Conna Golf Club which is on the outskirts of Bray and has the most fantastic views. The pro is very very good, I'd highly recommend him. After my second lesson I was hitting the thing for miles. Obviously the crux is whether I can repeat it on my own! Have been to the Stepaside driving range a couple of times last week. First time I hit 100 balls, was mainly crap and felt like I could hardly move the next day. Second time I hit 50 and was much better and was fine the next day. Given I'm working now (it's late, very late) I'll be at home tomorrow and after I eventually wake up will try and go again during working hours....

It's 3:15 and I've just been told the work is done and I can start to test! Hurrah!
