This is the life! Home from work early on a lovely hot sunny afternoon, beer in hand in front of the telly watching the World Cup. Only down side is that the Germans are currently winning...

This weekend is a bank holiday (Monday) in Ireland, which is nice as all my chums in the UK had great fun asking me how work was last Monday while they were off. Took the day off to go to Belfast yesterday with S - where we went to the Crosslinks Ball in the Hilton. It was a really fun evening, although numbers could have been better. S and I stayed in the Hilton as I couldn't be arsed to drive anywhere after.

Went to see Mission Impossible 3 this evening in Dundrum. It was really very good. Even had a screen without any annoying people in it which is rare!

S and I have had what will most likely be our last holiday with just the two of us for the foreseeable future! We spent the week in the Algarve and had a fantastic time relaxing and enjoying the sun. We chose to stay in a self catering apartment instead of some faceless hotel. The original booking for accommodation went wrong as they were over booked so we were moved. Much to my annoyance and skepticism that they ever had room in the original place. However where we ended up was much better. Closer walk into the town (Albufaria) but far enough away to be quiet. The complex was on the side of a large hill though which meant S got nackered enough walking about. We spent most of the mornings walking into town, around the town/beach then back. Then the afternoons by the pool - very relaxing!
