S and I have just entertained the estate by limping round the block on some new rollerblades. K & L have both said what a laugh blading is that that S and I should join them so we've been on the look out for some. I can ice skate, more or less, reasonably confidently. So I asked K & L how it compares and was told that if I can do one I should be able to do the other. Well I am not so sure! Ice is flat, outside has all sorts of little hills, bumps and generally rough surfaces. Ice skating has an edge... Anyway we will persevere!

I had Thursday off ill this week, which if you know my mother you'll know wasn't an easy thing to do. As a kid death was about the only excuse for missing school, so I've grown up very rarely taking sick days. Feeling a lot better now but my throat still feels like it's got a hedgehog stuck in it.
